The station hand contributes to the livestock program by undertaking duties such as handling and monitoring of livestock, machinery operation and maintenance, general station maintenance and repairs, and land management.
Although not always necessary, applicants are generally expected to have good horse handling skills.
Enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and enjoyment of the outdoor life are essential.
As a family-owned business with over 35 years of experience, we prioritise a healthy balance between work and lifestyle. We offer employees the chance to engage in social events, including campdrafts, rodeos, fishing trips, and BBQs featuring friendly competitions
Why Join Us?
- We offer competitive day rates.
- Air-conditioned accommodation and food provided at no cost.
- Supportive and dynamic work environments.
A couple of things you should be aware of:
- most of our stations have limited spots to fill each season.
- when managers have only a few spots to fill, they may be more selective about someone’s experience with cattle and horses.
- the season runs from about March until November, and someone who can commit to this whole period will normally be favoured over someone who can’t.
- you will only hear from our managers if they have a position suitable for your skills and experience.
