The Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining station roads, airstrips, fence lines, and other essential infrastructure. This role requires operating and maintaining a grader, ensuring safe and effective road conditions to support station operations, cattle movement, and access to key areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining station roads, airstrips, fence lines, and firebreaks.
  • Perform daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on the grader.
  • Carry out minor repairs and report mechanical issues to station management.
  • Support station staff in various operational activities to ensure smooth station function.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
  • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Self-motivated with good observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in remote locations.
