The station cook plays a crucial role in ensuring our station staff and guests enjoy nutritious and delicious meals.

These roles are ideal for someone who enjoys cooking in a remote, fast-paced environment and is committed to providing high-quality meals for our hard-working team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for station staff (10-20 depending on the station).
  • Manage the kitchen, including food storage, inventory, and hygiene standards.
  • Plan weekly menus in consultation with station management.
  • Ensure food preparation meets dietary preferences.
  • Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
  • Assist with special catering requests when necessary.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar cooking role, preferable in remote or rural locations.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage food stocks.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Friendly, approachable, and able to work as part of a team
