HEAD STOCKMAN – 2025 Season

All Stations

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Head Stockmen. This involves leading a stockcamp in managing the day-to-day activities on the station, overseeing livestock health and welfare, and ensuring efficient and effective stock management. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, extensive hands-on experience with livestock, and a deep understanding of cattle management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Oversee livestock movement, feeding, breeding programs.
  • Ensure upkeep of facilities, fencing, water systems, and equipment required for livestock management.
  • Foster a strong safety culture by adhering to industry regulations, workplace safety standards, and safe work behaviours to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven relevant experience in a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of livestock health, behaviour, breeding, and general station operations.
  • High standard of horsemanship and cattlemanship.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and coordinate with staff and management.
