Boreman / Operator Humbert River Out-station

We are currently seeking a Boreman / Operator to join our team at Humbert River. This is a blended role focused on ensuring a continuous water supply for our cattle, along with maintaining key station infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing bores, turkey nest dams, motors, troughs, and surrounding fences.
  • Ensuring a reliable water supply for all stock.
  • Maintaining station roads, airstrips, fence lines, and firebreaks.
  • Observing and reporting on general cattle and property conditions.
  • Assisting with cattle work during first and second round if required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
  • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Self-motivated with good observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in remote locations.

Operating under Victoria River Downs Station, Humbert River runs approximately 5,500 breeders, with a total herd of over 10,000 head across 1,080 km².
